About Mea

As a practitioner I am passionate about the joyful return to oneself. All of the modalities and traditions that I carry hold this concept of the Divine Self at center and, through touch, movement or meditation, carry us home to it. It is from this central philosophy and love that I practice, and from which I feel so grateful to do this work.

As a Trans person, as a sober person, as a human, these practices have been personal guides for me and continue always to carry me to my true nature, and to support me in the work of being a feeling, sensing, growing, interrelated being. I am honored to hold space for you on the table, in a room with other feeling, radiant beings, or through online containers, to support you in your return to alignment, ease and knowing at your center.

These modalities can support us in relieving physician tension and pain, in finding emotional clarity, passion and knowing, and in growing in our spiritual knowing.

Truly, at their essence, these things are all the same; unfolding and balancing at different layers of our Being. Light touch/deep work bodywork can be an experience of supported co-meditation and remembering the natural alignments of body, heart and spirit. It is from this philosophy that I practice, and am so honored to hold you in it.

Positionality Statement

I am a white, Trans, Non-Binary, Queer and sober bodyworker and tender of the subtle, living and working on the unceded land of the Penobscot people of the Wabanaki Confederacy. My body carries within it a tapestry of ancestral lines to which I am committed to witnessing, reckoning with, learning from, and integrating into the person who I am and the practices that I hold.

These lines are predominantly French (through Acadian and French Canadian threads) and Irish (from the Galway region), Italian, English and Portuguese. I recognize that it is a privilege, in and of itself, to know, as best I currently can, the ancestral lines I carry. To each of these I strive to listen and to embody both the traditions that move through me and the responsibility of reparations that are, in and of themselves, an essential healing modality.

I endeavor to live within the ethical life practices that are the foundations of the traditions I carry. In my commitment to honoring lineage, I continue to deepen my practices of the systems of Yoga and of Reiki through ongoing personal training with practitioners rooted in ethical alignment and traditional practice, and center practitioners and teachers who carry the ancestral lineages of these practices. The guidance I have received from those who hold me in my growing, as a practitioner and as a person, is to continue to practice with authenticity, with commitment to honoring my own ancestral traditions, with rigorous self-examination, and with awareness of my positionality expressed through right actions, with which I strive imperfectly to move. I am committed to the life-long practice of perceiving, naming, and alchemizing systems of oppression and colonial harm within myself, and to being a co-conspirator and synergist of authentic healing, which holds right relationship and at its base.

I hold the value of accessible holistic health care for the body, mind and spirit as essential, and I strive to find the balance of living into my values of sliding scale, accessible care, reparations, and right-sized sustainable living. I believe, as an exponential number of teachers of lineage do, that the modalities that I endeavor to carry well are tools for visioning and aligning, individually and collectively, with a world outside of systems of oppression; and that to serve their original purpose is to apply them to the work of collective liberation.
